special memories / stories
Daisy's puddle-jumping skills were Olympic-level - she could spot a promising puddle from yards away and would make a beeline for it. She developed a friendship with a neighbor's dachshund, and their size difference didn't stop them from playing together every afternoon. During car rides, she loved sticking her head out the window, ears flapping like tiny banners of joy. One winter, she discovered snow and would make perfect little spaniel-shaped prints wherever she went, looking back proudly at her trail.
obituary
Daisy was a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel whose joy was as boundless as Hamburg's rainfall. For five wonderful years, she turned every walk into an adventure, every puddle into a playground. Daisy didn't just live with us; she taught us how to find happiness in simple things - a good sniff, a friendly greeting, a perfect jump into a rain puddle. Her cancer diagnosis came too soon, but she faced it with the same wagging tail that characterized her entire life. Her passing leaves our walks quieter and our hearts heavier, but her joyful spirit splashes on in our memories. Daisy taught us to embrace the weather, to greet each day with enthusiasm, and that sometimes getting messy is the best part of life. She was our happy girl, and we were blessed to be her people.
