Hazel was a Miniature Schnauzer whose expressive eyebrows told stories words never could. For five wonderful years, she communicated volumes through those mobile brows - curiosity, suspicion, joy, and love. Hazel didn't just live with us; she held conversations with us, using her entire face to express her thoughts and feelings. Her illness came too soon, but she faced it with the same expressive dignity that characterized her life. Her passing leaves our home quieter and our hearts missing those eloquent eyebrow wiggles. The squeaky toys sit silent, waiting for a playmate who won't return. Hazel taught us that communication goes beyond words, that intelligence shines through in unexpected ways, and that sometimes the deepest connections are formed through silent understanding. She was our expressive girl, and we were blessed to read her stories.
