Margaret Rose Carrington, known affectionately as Maggie to her family and friends, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on November 8, 2023, at the age of 75. Born in the historic city of Bath, Maggie dedicated her life to education, serving as a primary school teacher for over 40 years at St. Michael's School. Her passion for nurturing young minds extended beyond the classroom as she volunteered at the local library's children's reading program every Saturday for three decades. Maggie was a devoted wife to her late husband Edward, a loving mother to her two daughters, and a doting grandmother to four grandchildren. Her home was always filled with laughter, the smell of freshly baked scones, and shelves overflowing with books. She was an active member of the Bath Historical Society and could often be found leading walking tours through the city's Georgian streets, sharing her deep knowledge and love for her hometown with visitors. She is survived by her daughters Catherine and Eleanor, her grandchildren, and her sister Beatrice. Maggie's legacy lives on through the thousands of children she taught, the historical preservation work she championed, and the loving family she created.
