Sophie was an innovative pastry chef whose creations delighted patrons at her award-winning patisserie, 'Douceur de Sophie,' in the Marais district. Born in Lyon to a family of bakers, she moved to Paris at 18 to pursue her culinary dreams, bringing with her the traditional techniques of her family and a fearless modern creativity. After training under master pastry chefs and working at several Michelin-starred restaurants, Sophie opened her own shop in 2018. Her signature creation the 'Fleur de Sel Caramel Éclair' was featured in French Vogue and became a cult favorite among Parisians. Colleagues admired her precision and artistry, while customers cherished her warm smile and genuine interest in their lives. Sophie is survived by her parents Jean and Marie, her younger brother Luc, and her partner Antoine.
